This expressive, varietal Tinta de Toro (a variation of Tempranillo) boasts a magnificent structure and a bouquet with hints of red fruits and spices. On the palate, it's full-fruity, voluminous, punchy, and powerful. Subtle roasted aromas combine with a fine acidity structure and a lingering finish round out the tasting experience. An impressive, full-bodied, top-quality wine – as wild as a bull!

Together with Tentemozo, Bodega Maires launched a new, sustainable wine project that is causing a sensation in Spain.

The winery:
In the heart of DO Toro, the aim is to demonstrate the full potential of the local Tinta di Toro grape from organic farming.
The idea for Bodega Maires Winery was born in 2015, when two cousins joined forces to resume their ancestral winemaking activities and thus maintain a presence in the Toro Designation of Origin. Under the name MAIRES, a family nickname tracing back four generations of viticulture, Bodega Maires describes the philosophy of a family project that reflects the influence of time in viticulture—influences that have been passed down from one generation to the next, preserving values and traditions that, combined with current innovation, allow these wines to continue these principles.
